+19+ Moving day [action/accidental voice]

The sky is relatively clear, but the incoming clouds, thick and bright against sky, hint at snowy weather around the corner. It's with that in mind that Leon (fellpool), Precis (rocketpunch), and Claude (mirrorblade) move their belongings from community building 1 to their new house, house 59.

Yep, that's right -- a trek from one side of the village to the other. There will be return trips, breaks, and maybe some unpacking going on today, so there's no shortage of places to see the trio today.

It's while Leon is rolling his teleportaton barrel that his journal falls out of his bag. He doesn't hear it over the sounds of the wood against the ground, but he is able to hear his pet cat meow in complaint behind him.]

What is it, Filia? [The journal may catch the sound of the cat meowing and Leon's footsteps as he walks back.] Man, it fell out again...? I should've just thrown it in one of the suitcases. C'mon, let's go -- this barrel isn't gonna move itself.

[Precis had spent a good part of the day goofing off, but she did help when it really came to push and shove. Frankenrobbie can carry a couch, she learned. Yup, she stole the apartment's couch.

So, even if she isn't nearly as tired as Claude and Leon, it's still been a long day for her, too.]

Already? You said you weren't slacking off around here, right?

[Leon kinda wants to sit down, but he needs to check if there's any damage to his barrel. So he's leaning against it with the lid off while he checks the crests inside.]

It could be worse. [He admits.] But we did move everything in one day.

I think I carried more than you did, Precis. [Just because Frankenrobbie can carry a couch...!!] I guess between the two of us, we really didn't have that much stuff at all.

[rocketpunch]

[Hey, hey, Claude! She made a few friends, okay. It's totally more important.]

Yeah, but all I had to carry were my clothes, Robbie, and a few small things. I haven't found everything I need yet in the shops.

[She says as she tinkers with Robbie, back panel open.]

You didn't even have to carry Robbie. [Leon points out, glancing over briefly. It's not like the robot could wander off too far if left to its own devices.] We should choose bedrooms so we can move things out of the main rooms.

[mirrorblade]

Oh, that's a good idea. [Claude stands up, then, ready to take on a task that... didn't involve much lifting.] We have more rooms than we need, so it shouldn't be too bad.

[rocketpunch]

Oh, guys. I don't think you need to worry about that.

[That's all she's going to say. That's all she has to say. It is pretty clear from that one statement what she's done.]

There's a pretty distinct silence at that oh-so-confident declaration.

Leon groans audibly.]

Precis...

[Oh dear. He's almost afraid to ask.]

...why is that, Precis?

Well, Claude gets the bedroom down here, and I already moved some of my stuff into the storage room upstairs, so I'll take the bedroom below it. I'm going to need lots of space, and it won't take me too long to build an elevator.

So, Leon gets his pick of whichever room he wants upstairs. It's pretty easy, right?

[Why is he not surprised...? Oh yeah, because Precis needed the room to build her own spaceship back on Earth.]

Y-- you're seriously going to build an elevator? I thought you were joking.

[Well. Hoped she was joking.]

[NOPE. SHOULDN'T HAVE ASKED.]

You picked out my room for me? [...well, this did explain a lot. Like why Precis wasn't really working the same way he and Leon were.] Isn't that something you should've asked me first? And do we really need an elevator? The house is only two floors.

Of course! It'll be totally fine, though, I know what I'm doing. [She turns to Leon first.] There's more space upstairs, and if I build something heavy, it'll be easier for moving.

[And then, just the slightest hint of homesickness. She hasn't been home in so long.]

I had one in my own room, too, you know? So if I'm going to be here for a while, it'll be best to get it out of the way.

I guess you could pick one of the upstairs rooms, but the first floor is pretty big, too. It'd be weird having it all to myself.

Better reinforce the flooring too if you intend to build something really heavy... [He's still not sure about an elevator, but this is Precis. If nothing else, it'd keep her active and happy in Luceti.

Don't you think it'd be weird for Leon to have a floor all to himself, too?

[If Precis wants to build really big things in the house, he can be okay with that. It's her house, too, after all! But it really would've been nice if they could have talked first.]

So ... Claude can't use the bathroom on the first floor?

Well, Claude can't use my bathroom, because it's totally for girls only.

It'll all work out! Just trust me, okay? It'll be perfect!

[This is a skeptical look. Your smiles are so fishy, Precis! ...So is saying things will be perfect.]

Riiight. [Welp. That settles that, he supposes.] Well, Leon, if you need help moving anything upstairs, I'll give you a hand.

Yeah, Leon! I'll even give you a hand. The sooner we're all settled in, the sooner you'll see how right I am.

[Leon can't keep in a groan, but he won't comment...!]

Well, if you're both offering... [He pauses as his stomach complains.] But shouldn't one of us think about food?
