+19+ Moving day [action/accidental voice]

[Backdated to February 3.

The sky is relatively clear, but the incoming clouds, thick and bright against sky, hint at snowy weather around the corner. It's with that in mind that Leon (

fellpool), Precis (

rocketpunch), and Claude (

mirrorblade) move their belongings from community building 1 to their new house, house 59.

Yep, that's right -- a trek from one side of the village to the other. There will be return trips, breaks, and maybe some unpacking going on today, so there's no shortage of places to see the trio today.

It's while Leon is rolling his teleportaton barrel that his journal falls out of his bag. He doesn't hear it over the sounds of the wood against the ground, but he is able to hear his pet cat meow in complaint behind him.]

What is it, Filia? [The journal may catch the sound of the cat meowing and Leon's footsteps as he walks back.] Man, it fell out again...? I should've just thrown it in one of the suitcases. C'mon, let's go -- this barrel isn't gonna move itself.

[Those are a lot of noises coming from your journal. And what's this about a barrel...]

[Leon was just about ready to shut his journal when he hears the voice, and he opens it back up to look properly at the pages.]

Huh? Atsuro? [One of the newer Brigade members. They'd only had some small talk during meetings, but the guy seemed pretty nice.]

[Well even if he had, Atsuro would've ended up asking him at a Brigade meeting or something.. And considering Leon's reaction, he figures that he didn't mean to have his journal open. Oh well.]

Hey, Leon. Uh... What are you doing? I'm just hearing rustling and footsteps and... is that a cat? [Not to mention there was the loud noise when the journal fell..]

Oh-- yeah, sorry. I dropped my journal and my cat got my attention. [He's just a little distracted now, since he wasn't expecting to get caught in a conversation.] I'm in the process of moving.

Oh that's fine. I was just a little confused since it sounded really weird and all. That explains that though, I guess. Are you moving into a new house though?

Yeah. Another friend-- [yes, Precis was a friend despite the way they talked to each other] --showed up from my world, so we're getting a house together. ...It's pretty far from everything, though.

Oh really? That's nice. [Kind of. It's great to see friends here, but at the same time..! Not that Atsuro can really relate to that at all yet though.] How far is it?

Er... [Hm. He laughs a little.] Have you been to the southern part of the village, where the barracks are? ...Past the barracks.

[...welp.] Oh man... It sure must be fun moving all your things there. [Being sarcastic, of course..]

[He groans.] Yeeeah. Moving always makes you realize how much stuff you manage to accumulate.

Especially with everything you need to make your stuff, right? [nonspecific nouns for lack of a better term.. And then there's that barrel thing..]

...It would probably be better if I just kept some of that stuff-- [he uses a nonspecific term just in case anyone's listening in] --in the village, but I like working in my lab, yeah.

[..wait so..] You have a lab right there in your house?

I used to have one in the community building, but it's already been taken apart. [He tilts his head.] It might take awhile to put together my new lab, since I'll have to unpack and everything.

[How on ~~expel~~ earth did he fit a lab in there... Oh well.] I can imagine. If you happy to need any help though, just let me know, all right?

[Fortunately, Leon's idea of a lab isn't quite the same thing as what Atsuro is probably used to...]

Heh, thanks for the offer. We should be able to manage. The hard part was figuring out what to take and what to toss.

No problem. You don't have enough room to keep all of it though? [Since there's so much more room in the houses than in the apartments and all. And it seems like a shame to let things go to waste.]

Some of it wasn't worth keeping. Old shoes, old clothes and the like. [He went through quite a few pairs of shoes while going through his growth spurt.] Basically, stuff I should've tossed as I grew out of it, but ... uh, didn't.

Oh. That makes sense then. It shouldn't be too difficult to dig through them all though, right? Since they're basically just things you [probably] haven't touched in a while.

Yeah. Most of it was already stuffed under my bed. There were still a few things I had to pick out of my closet to leave behind, though. [Since he was still growing.]

How about you? Do you think you're accumulating anything in your room?

[Leon's a big boy now!]

Not really. Or not yet, at least. It's only been a few months since I got here, so there isn't really much accumulating yet. [If at all.]

Did you collect things back home? [...Er. What were some things that kids collected?] Music? Movies?

I wouldn't say I really collect it, but my computer equipment always ended up piling up. That's not really the case here though. [Thus Atsuro must experience internet withdrawal forever.]

[Despite himself, Leon finds himself weakly laughing.] So Luceti must be really different in that regard.

No kidding. The journals are pretty cool, but it's not the same, you know? [There's only so much you can do with them. sob.]
